House Portraits: Victorian Houses Gallery

Victorian houses are colorful and elaborate house portrait subjects.

A variety of houses fall into the category of Victorian style homes. The most well-known variety is the Queen Anne house. Victorian houses and Queen Anne houses are often spoken of interchangeably even though the Queen Anne is only one of many Victorian styles. In my travels I have encountered colorful Victorian style homes in any city that has a presence of late 18th early 19th century housing. Due to the interesting colors and architectural variety I very much enjoy painting house portraits of Victorian houses.

Pasadena, CA

When I create a Victorian house portrait, my objective is to capture the colorful and stylized personality of the home. In addition to Victorian houses and Queen Anne style homes, I love to paint historic houses, historic buildings, Craftsman style homes, bungalow homes and other classic house styles.
