Standing tall with downtown Detroit as its backdrop, this home was formerly the picture of elegance. Located in Brush Park Detroit, where the city’s mansions were erected in the late 1800’s, together with the gnarled tree beside it, it has stood the test of time, weathered the seasons and fought off attempts to pull it down. Now there is plan to save this building and fully restore it. This art piece serves as the “before” painting and I am looking forward to creating a second “after” version.
