Announcing Summer House & Garden Portrait Competition!

Happy Summer Solstice 2024!

June 20th marked the first day of summer and it seemed like the perfect time to announce my first ever Summer House & Garden Portrait Competition 2024!

The winner of this competition will receive a free Leisa Collins original pen & watercolor painting of your home, based on the photo that you provide.

Here’s how the competition works:

* To enter, email me a good quality photo of your home AND summer garden. It does not have to be from this year! Along with a high quality photo, please provide your name, email and mobile number. You must send your photo by email only (not via DM on social media), to ensure the best quality. Send the photo to: leisa@leisacollins.com

* Who can enter? Anyone can enter the competition, including existing clients.

* What is the deadline? You have until the 1st of July, 2024 to send your entry.

* When and how will a winner be chosen? On the 1st of July, I will select the winning entry based on the uniqueness, clarity, color, and style of your home and garden. The winner will be announced – along with their winning photo – via email and social media. I will create the house portrait for the winner by the end of July!

* Are there any other rules to enter? Once they receive their prize, the winner must take photos of him/herself with their new, hand crafted painting send pictures to me! I will feature you, along with the house portrait on my blog post and social media.

* But what about the people who don’t win? If you enter the competition and aren’t the lucky winner this time, you will receive a 15% off a house portrait of your own.

Favorite Summer House & Garden Portraits:

Of the hundreds of original pen and watercolor house portraits I have painted in all 50 states, a good percentage of them are set in the summer season. Not surprisingly, this is the most popular time of the year for homeowners to commission me to create a painting of their house. While one’s home might never change, the various seasons provide additional magic and personality to a house portrait.

Summer solstice for the Northern Hemisphere occurs today, June 20, 2024, at 4:51 p.m. EDT, and summer solstice for the Southern Hemisphere occurs on Dec. 21, 2024, at 5:29 a.m. It marks the official start of astronomical summer and the longest day of the year. The summer solstice is celebrated by many cultures around the world with numerous traditions, holidays and festivals. From sunrise gatherings to midsummer festivals, summer solstice celebrations blow the winter cobwebs away.
