Watercolor home portraits for your enjoyment...
Another fun and interesting week in the land of architectural art and unique homes.
We’ll start with the west coast. This is stately Spanish home is one of the first in my Valley Village house Portrait series. Valley Village is a lovely neighborhood in the North Hollywood area.
Now take a look at this magical home in Glendale. I chose this one as it reminds me of a fairy tail home with some wild English garden influences. And you should see the back of home. There is more beautiful garden along with a fully outfitted “English Pub” called “The Edison. I plan to go and take photos soon and will do a separate feature on this.
Moving east but still in the greater Los Angeles area, here is a interesting cottage in one of my favorite cities — Monrovia, CA. The Jacaranda trees are in full bloom right now in So. CA as you can see here.
I love this home in one of the most historic areas of San Diego, Mission Hills. Note the Asian influence with the form of the architecture. It was inspired by the famed Greene and Greene Brothers, the architects and designers for the Gamble House in Pasadena, CA.
Now we head over to the east coast. These two homes can be found in the Bethesda area, a wonderful leafy city in Maryland, close to DC.
And lastly a charming Cape Code home in Alexandria Virginia.
That’s the tour for this week. Hope you have enjoyed all these art inspiring homes!
