An extrodinary realtor with her own client House Portrait collection!
I would like to introduce you to a wonderful realtor client called Paige Rhodes. I first met Paige in 2013 when we both lived in Alexandria Virginia, which is where I launched my art career. Paige wasn’t even a realtor then.
We both moved on and life marched forward. My husband and I moved to the west coast and beyond and Paige and her family moved to Daniel Island, close to Charleston in South Carolina.
From my humble beginnings in Old Town Alexandria, I went on to create house portraits and paintings of historic buildings in every state across the USA, and released my coffee table book in 2021 which documents this journey. Paige went on to become a top-selling realtor in the Charleston area, and is recognized as being a Realtor of Distinction – Top 2 % Producing Agents in Charleston.
I am not at all surprised, being that Paige is one of those persons who simply loves people. Over the years I have created house portrait client gifts for Paige’s “special clients” — and the homes I have captured in pen and watercolor for her are nothing short of spectacular.
This month I realized that I have now created original paintings of 25 homes for Paige, nearly all of them on Daniel Island, South Carolina.
Before I begin a painting, Paige gives me snippets of info about the house and the story of its owners. Remarkably, after every house painting I complete I always receive a heartfelt thank you note from Paige, often claiming that the latest painting has now become her favorite.
This is a note from Paige after I completed a painting a couple of weeks ago. Her notes always make my day.
“I just wanted to let you know that the paintings arrived safe and sound. I am SO glad you convinced me to do two separate paintings. My clients are going to be so thrilled with these!!! I can’t thank you enough for all you do to make my clients feel special….especially after a bittersweet sale like this one.
You are such a gem, and I am so very glad I found you back during our days in Alexandria!”
So why are house portraits the perfect realtor gift?
Here are just a few reasons:
Personal Touch: A house portrait is deeply personal and reflects the most significant purchase many people will ever make. It’s a unique way to commemorate a new home, making the gift feel thoughtful and special.
Lasting Keepsake: Unlike other gifts that might be forgotten or used once, a house portrait is something that can be displayed proudly in the home for years. It’s a timeless reminder of the client’s journey to homeownership, and it could serve as a constant reminder of the realtor’s role in that experience.
Memorable Gesture: Realtors often give gifts at closing, but a house portrait stands out from the typical bottle of wine or generic gift basket. It’s more meaningful and can help cement the realtor’s place in the client’s memory.
Branding Opportunity: An original house portrait is a subtle form of branding. A special note on the back of the painting along with the realtor’s contact info, can serve as a reminder to the client whenever they look at the piece. It’s a soft yet effective form of marketing.
Emotional Connection: Moving into a new home is a huge life event, and a house portrait taps into that emotion. It celebrates the new chapter in the client’s life and strengthens the emotional bond between the realtor and the client.
Word-of-Mouth Marketing: A unique and beautiful portrait of their home could spark conversation among friends, family, and visitors. This natural form of word-of-mouth marketing can help a realtor gain more clients down the road.
Customization: Realtors can personalize the gift even further by including specific details, like the year of purchase, street address, or special landmarks nearby, which adds an extra layer of thoughtfulness.
Overall, a house portrait is a memorable and meaningful gift that has long-term value, both for the client and the realtor’s brand.
A quick look at Daniel Island, South Carolina:
Daniel Island, SC, is a charming place with a blend of natural beauty, history, and modern living. Here are some of the key things that make Daniel Island stand out. It’s in the Charleston area, surrounded by creeks and rivers, which gives it a relaxed, scenic vibe. What’s more it is only a few miles from downtown Charleston
The island has a fascinating history. It was originally settled by the British in the 1700s, and it has ties to plantation life. There are still remnants of that history, with some beautiful old homes and structures. The island’s name comes from Daniel Ravenel, a planter from the area.
Over the past few decades, Daniel Island has become one of Charleston’s most sought-after communities. It has a mix of residential homes, shops, restaurants, and businesses, along with top-rated schools. Its urban development, though, has been designed to blend seamlessly with the
The island has a beautiful waterfront park with views of the Cooper River, perfect for leisurely walks or relaxing by the water. The bridges that connect the island to the rest of Charleston provide stunning views of the surrounding waterways.
I hope you enjoyed my story and my Paige Rhodes Daniel Island SC House Portrait Collection!
Let me know if you have a special home that you would like to me to turn into unique work of art. I am always honored to do so.
