Through the leadership of one of the American Arts and Crafts founders, Elbert Hubbard, Roycroft Campus began construction in 1895.  Nestled in the charming city of East Aurora, New York, Roycroft Campus was a reformist community of craft orkers and artists which formed part of the Arts and Crafts movement.  Participants were known as Roycrofters. The work and philosophy of the group, often referred to as the Roycroft movement, had a strong influence on the development of American architecture and design in the early 20th century.

This print includes the following quote:

“One machine can do the work of fifty ordinary men.  No machine can do the work of one extraordinary man.

— Elbert Hubbard
